Messenger Race

All competitors have two attempts to qualify for the final. The top two-hundred advance to the main event.
Finalists will sweat it out on a closed course in downtown manhattan. Picking and dropping packages, Locking up and calling dispatch. Racers are ranked based upon the order in which they cross the finish line.

GoldSprints

Introduced at the Zurich CMWC 99, This event features riders competing on stationary hometrainers. Everyone has the chance to post a time in a 500m sprint on rollers. The fastest will compete on a voyage around Manhattan.

Sprints

Sprint down the street, as fast as you can. All bikes.
 

Cargo Race

The cargo race will test each competitor's ability to carry cargo the fastest. It will take place on the same closed course as the main race. cargo bikers will pick up items such as hay balls, bricks, long tubes, pieces of carpet, traffic pylons etc. Competitors must use a cargo bike for this event.

Bunny Hop

Riders will vie to see who can hop the highest! We'll start at a height of 20cm, then raising the bar 10cm at a time, up to 50cm from which the height bar is raised 5cm at a time or in accordance with remaining competitors.

Fix Gear

No brakes allowed! Track stand, track skid and quick stop are the categories.  

Free Style

Anything Goes! Riders are given two minutes (negotiable) to do their best! We let the crowd decide who's got the best style.

Foot Down

This is a favorite of Track and BMX riders. Packs of 30 duel in a crash up derby style competition. Last one to put a foot down advances to the Final.

Dispatch Race

Just like work! Dispatcher communicates with their riders by two way radio. The team to complete the most deliveries takes the title.

Arm Wrestling

Start doing your pushups now! The biggest guns will face off under the watchful eye of Professional Referees. Take on NYC Champs Massamba and Amy!

Polo

Scattered groups of west coast freaks will play this game every chance they get! Although unofficially banned in New York, we will not abuse or break up any games.

Tattoo Show

Messenger Tattoos, we love 'em! Strut your stuff and show the world at our World Welcome Party. Our panel of celebrity judges will award the best ink.  

Graffiti Expo

If you write then let's get up! Got a crew? That's cool too! Legal wall will be available  

Microphone Fiend

So you got something to say!? Compete on stage and let the crowd decide who's got the stage and who's got the Golden Mic!  

Art Show

Bring one or two examples of your work, Art will be displayed at the World Welcome Party and in a Manhattan gallery.
